The course RELT 130 African Traditional Religions is an introductory course in the study of religion as a curriculum in university education.

The purpose of the course is to inform the student about African traditional ways of relating with the supernatural being who is viewed as a the creator and provider in all forms of the living experience. As a religion, ATR is the way Africans have lived their lives since they started existing as a distinct entity.

The student who takes the class is expected to do the utmost so that the course can be a form of information that guides in the history and present existence of Africans as a people.
