This course studies human communication process that focuses on the individual verbal interaction with other people in small groups and public communication situations. The course provides students with practice in speech preparation and presentation, both as individuals and as a team. Some of the topics to be covered include planning and preparing speeches, types of speeches, group presentations, and job interview techniques. Students will learn the art and science of speech making. They will also practice job interview skills and make written critical evaluations of fellow students’ speeches.
