Introduction to Statistics and probability is a Certificate Level Statistics course intended for students who are in specific programs such as Development studies. This course is not available as a General Education course or as a free elective. In this module, we will introduce you to the basic concepts in Statistical data, data collection, presentation, analysis and different statistical measures. This interactive instructional module uses both action and collaborative learning styles that provide you with diverse online learning experiences and effective learning processes. This module is aimed at providing the students with basic statistical ideas. Emphasis is on conceptual development and numerical problem solving. The presentations use a non- theoretical approach in which concepts are explained intuitively and supported by examples. The exercise will include problems from relevant disciplines.
