The purpose of this course is to equip the students with the theories, principles, practices and strategies of the two major intermediary channel functions – retailing and wholesaling.  This course deals with the essential concepts, principles and strategies of retailing and wholesaling.  Topical areas of the course are:  the nature and current environment of retailing and wholesaling; strategies in retailing and wholesaling; management and operations of wholesaling and retailing organizations; marketing decisions facing retailers and wholesalers.  Biblical, legal and ethical issues, trends and cases in retailing and wholesaling are also integrated in the course.
