The main focus of this course is the principles of personal health: nutrition, mental health, drugs, exercise, sleep and rest; it explores the principles of community health sanitation, community services, and public health agencies; introduces students to the field of public and community health; they will learn about the methods used to determine the health care needs of a community and how these can be addressed; there will also be a focus on major current public health issues and the prevention of significant causes of mortality and morbidity.
