The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the process and dynamic of economic development with reference to development. The content of the course discusses and analyzes the definition of economic growth and development, goals of economic development, Theories of development and growth, economic growth models, problems and policies of economic development, poverty and inequality, population growth, urbanization and rural-urban migration, human capital, agricultural transformation, development planning and policies and development strategies in the economy.
