The major components of computerized accounting systems are discussed. Reviews on various accounting subsystems design are done by the students while also considering integrated systems.

Following a Business Process Approach, Accounting Information Systems stresses information, communication, and networking technology within the context of business processes, transaction cycles and internal control structure and fraud.
