1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course is a description of the media ministry as used by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. There are a number of media ministries associated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church meant to evangelize and this includes print and electronic media. Some of the topics to be covered include Introduction to Adventist Media Ministry, Publishing as a media ministry in the Adventist Church, Counsels to SDA Writers and Editors, SDA Publishing houses, the output of SDA publishing houses, challenges of SDA publishing houses, radio and television as media ministry in the Adventist Church, other media used in the Adventist Church etc. Students will have educational field trips to visit some of the media ministries of the SDA Church within the country. This  includes  at least one publishing house, one radio station, one television station and one media centre. Three lectures hours and one session of three-hours practicum per week.

PURPOSE OF THE COURSE

This course is designed to expose students with the mass media ministries as used in the Seventh-day Adventist Church focusing on the print and electronic media.
