People are an important resource in any organization.  For organizations to achieve their objectives effectively and efficiently, there is need to understand people’s behavior, factors influencing behaviors and the effect of such behaviors on performance of the organization.  This course is designed to enable the learners to gain understanding of behavior of people in organizations and how such behaviors ultimately affect performance of the organization.  This course is designed too enable the learners develop knowledge and skills in intrapersonal, interpersonal, group, and organizational level processes in work settings.  The course employs lecturers, cases, critical reviews and exercise to further the managerial effectiveness of class participants.  The overarching goal of this course is to prepare students with a way of thinking that increases their ability to understand and implement decisions about people in an organizational context.
