A course that will help the learner appreciate the the meaning and relationship between cartography, map-work and survey and recognize the fundamental role of land surveying in everyday life. In  this course will be learnt basic field procedures and surveying types besides skills for handling basic surveying tools, their limitations and accruing errors in an endevour to produce a good map for planning purposes.
