Topics to be covered include definitions of curriculum, components of curriculum, determinants of curriculum, school curriculum, facilities and staffing; Key elements of curriculum: Vision, philosophy, mission, goals, expected learning outcome (Objectives), content, the learning experiences, learning environment, the resource materials, instructional strategies, methods of evaluating the learning experiences; The relationship between national goals of education and curriculum objectives;  Sources of curriculum information; curriculum models; philosophical foundations of curriculum development, patterns of curriculum organization; the curriculum development process; curriculum innovation and implementation strategies; strategies for curriculum changes since independence.
