This is an online Introduction Islamic course designed to develop students’ knowledge of the key areas of Islamic Studies. The course introduces learners to the background and development of Islam. The course examines the life and works of the Prophet Muhammad. Emphasis is put on the beliefs (Iman) and practices of Islam (Din), and teachings such as essential beliefs and practices, pillars of Islam, lifestyle of Islam in relation to society in a modern society. The learners will also explore other areas such as status of women in Islam.
