This course is an introductory study of concepts of curriculum, and curriculum development, patterns of curriculum design, curriculum implementation and teacher education; curriculum evaluation; foundations of curriculum; dimensions of curriculum; elements/components of curriculum; curriculum change and innovation; agencies involved in curriculum development; principles and procedures of curriculum development; national goals of education, millennium development goals and Kenya Vision 2030; the role of the Kenya Institute  Curriculum Development Centre in Kenya.
