This course is a basic foundation course presenting an overview of the science of psychology.  It is a comprehensive up to date presentation of the fundamentals of psychology. The course will cover topics that will help the student’s understanding of behavior and the many theories that explain the complexities of human interactions. Concepts such as perception, consciousness, motivation, emotion, human development, personality, abnormal behavior, social psychology, psychotherapy, research methods, stress and health are some of the areas discussed. Enhancement of thinking, problem-solving skills and self-regulatory mechanics for improving memory and learning are also stressed.
