This course covers the principles of filters, the theory, operation and circuits of both analog and digital filters. Approximation and analog of filters, basic transformations for designing filters, concept of sensitivity in filter design. Active filters and their design. Design of IIR digital filters using impulse invariant and bilinear transformations. Design of FIR digital filters using frequency sampling and window methods. Canonical realization of FIR digital filters. Wave digital filters and an introduction to two dimensional filters.
