The purpose of this course is to acquaint the students with the fundamental concepts ,basic principles, modern theories and approaches of business management to examine how the management functions are strategically involved in achieving organizational goals effectively to meet real world work and business requirements that create a competitive  advantage.Its content covers the nature, scope , importance ,evolution and  modern approaches to management; traits, skills, functions ,resources, roles, of managers; corporate, social and ethical environment  of management; process  of planning, organizing ,leading and controlling the  functional areas of organizations such as marketing,human resource, finance and accounting,production and operations. Other areas are communication ,decision making and conflict resolutions ,quality work of life environment and spirituality in the workplace. Case analysis and business projects are also integrated in the course.
